GORE® CHEMPAK® fabric technology for ChemBio Products

When faced with hazardous chemical or terrorist incidents, soldiers need to be confident that they will be protected from exposure.

GORE® CHEMPAK® fabric technology for ChemBio Products

Modern tactical operations demand broad protection without loss of thermal performance. It’s what GORE® CHEMPAK® Selectively Permeable products offer. Their moisture vapour permeability allows reduction of physiological burden. Garments, glove and footwear inserts protect against chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals - even after exposure to fuels, oils and sea water. They also also offer biological and viral protection as well as aerosol protection. This versatile technology is used as an undergarment by the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for its Uniform Integrated Protection Ensemble (UIPE 1). The Italian Navy uses it as an overgarment.

GORE® CHEMPAK® Ultra Barrier Technology is not breathable and provides broad protection when concentrations are above the immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) levels.
