Performance Zone Technology for GORE-TEX Military Rain Suits

Most military rain suits are made of a single material, which has to meet many different and at times contradictory requirements. Special forces, rapid-reaction forces and general infantry each have their own functional needs that are often connected with parts of the body. Performance Zone GORE-TEX Product Technology allows Gore to integrate different properties into specific zones of a rain suit.

Soldiers carrying a backpack, for instance, will need abrasion-resistant shoulder areas. The light, packable hood with Gore Microgrid Backer Technology is best stored in the collar. A military rain suit will use a more breathable material for its front section.
