    GORE-TEX Garments are not only world-renowned for their protective performance and comfort, they are tested and proven for it. For professionals working in the most demanding situations - in combat, fighting fires, handling emergencies - as well as those working hard every day with hazardous chemicals, electric utilities, or in challenging weather, GORE-TEX Garments are made to be trusted.

    To meet and even exceed these professional needs, GORE-TEX Garments are durably waterproof, windproof and breathable. These core benefits are thanks to the GORE-TEX membrane. It is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). It has over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per cm² which keeps liquids and wind out but allows skin to breathe.

    The membrane comes in various constructions with benefits selected for how it will be used. For example. the 2-layer emphasises comfort and versatility, and can also be combined with insulation for added warmth. The 3-layer construction features enhanced durability, but remains lightweight.

    GORE-TEX Garments can also be enhanced with additional technologies, such as HiLite and Microgrid which enhance performance for specific applications. They are engineered to anticipate the demands of defense personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical services and utility workers.

    GORE-TEX Garments are durably waterproof: they withstand water-entry pressures such as heavy rain, hose water, standing water, groundwater, as well as countless other wet conditions. GORE-TEX Garments also protect against the penetration of common chemicals.

    GORE-TEX Garments have been engineered to completely protect wearers from windchill, allowing workers to stay comfortable outside for longer.

    No sweat buildup

    To ensure sweat doesn't build up inside, GORE-TEX Garments are reliably breathable, allowing the evaporating moisture on the skin to escape through the fabric.

    Ideal for
    The technology has been developed with real-work situations in mind, so that hard-working professionals in challenging environments can stay protected, and simply focus on their important work.

    Defence

    Tough enough to withstand extreme conditions and offering full ease of motion, GORE-TEX Garments also protect from wind, rain and snow.

    Law Enforcement

    Comfortable all-weather protection, engineered to last up to three times as long as other waterproof garments. When a flame retardant laminate is added, Special Forces Officers are reliably protected against heat and flame.

    Workwear

    For everyday work, particularly when working in standing water or groundwater, all GORE-TEX Garments are durably waterproof, windproof and breathable.

    Fire and Safety

    GORE-TEX Garments are ideal for station wear, as well as during technical rescue and emergency situations.

    GORE-TEX Garments with GORE® HiLite technology

    Description: GORE-TEX HiLite technical garments combine durable weather protection, reliable comfort and high visibility for use in railway shunting yards and other work situations where good visibility is imperative - particularly at dusk or dark. GORE-TEX HiLite Garment combine waterproof, and windproof protection with high visibility that is easy to clean, even when heavily soiled with grease and grime (common on railway lines, for instance). The garments exceed the minimum luminance safety standard EN ISO 20471.

    GORE-TEX Garments with GORE® Micro Grid Backer technology

    Description: GORE® Micro Grid Backer technology is ideal for integrating into GORE-TEX Garments that are worn as a weather-protective outer layer over other workwear. The technology lowers friction between the outer GORE-TEX garment layer and the garments worn as lower layers, as well as improving thermal comfort, mobility on the job, as well as making the outer layer easier to take off and put on.

    GORE-TEX Garments with Stretch technology

    Description: When integrated into GORE-TEX Garments, GORE-TEX Stretch product technology offer a close garment fit which improves freedom of movement - expanding and shrinking as the wearer moves, which also increases breathability by up to 25%. Having undergone rigorous tests, garments have proven to remain flexible, waterproof, windproof and rugged – even in the most challenging working conditions.

    GORE-TEX Garments with Gore Performance Zone technology

    Description: Performance Zone Technology optimises GORE-TEX Garments with added benefits in selected "performance zones" of the garments. Shoulder areas, for example, need highest abrasion resistance and durability when wearing a rucksack. Other sections need lightweight and extremely breathable material, like the front of the jacket. To cater to these needs, various speciality GORE-TEX laminates can be integrated into GORE-TEX Garments using GORE® seam tape technology. This means that in addition to the core benefits (waterproof, windproof and breathable), any combination of other benefits such as lightweight, packable, durable, or extremely breathable is possible.
